Why the Born-Free 2026 Grass Pass Is Worth Grabbing Early
June 2026 • By The Dudes at LiveTheGnar
The Born-Free Grass Pass is the only way to ride your motorcycle onto the show grounds at Oak Canyon Park. It sells out every year — 2026 is already gone. Here’s exactly what it is, what you get, and why you need to move the moment 2027 drops.

The short version: the Grass Pass wristband is the only way to get your motorcycle onto the Born-Free show grounds. Without one, you park in the general lot outside, walk in, and watch everyone else roll their bikes through the special entrance. With one, you ride in.
It’s a one-day admission, per person, per motorcycle. If you’re attending both Saturday and Sunday, you need one for each day. Passengers need their own Grass Pass too. It does not enter you in the Bike Giveaway drawing — that’s a separate ticket.
Ride-In Access
Your bike on the actual show grounds. The only way to make it happen.
Special Entrance
Dedicated ride-in lane. No getting off your bike. No removing your helmet.
Early Entry
Grass Pass holders get into the show early before general admission opens.
Limited Supply
Fixed number of passes each year. When they’re gone, they’re gone. No day-of availability.

No day-of sales. There is no “ride-in” option at the gate. If you show up without a Grass Pass, your bike stays in the general parking lot outside. No exceptions, no workarounds.
The wristband is one-time use. The new cloth-style bands are numbered, chipped, and lockered. Once locked, they can’t be removed. Don’t try to share or transfer.
Passengers need their own. Each person riding onto the grounds needs their own Grass Pass wristband.
No giveaway entry. The Grass Pass is admission only. The bike giveaway is a separate poster/ticket combo purchase.

The first drop of online Grass Passes goes live in mid-February each year through Biltwell’s site. The 2026 passes sold out well before the June show date. Set a reminder for February 2027 and don’t sleep on it.
2026 Grass Passes Are Sold Out
If you’re heading to the show this weekend without a Grass Pass — no worries. General parking outside is free and general admission is pay-at-the-gate, cash preferred. You’ll still have a great time. But add “Grass Pass” to your Born-Free to-do list for 2027.
