In 2025, the inaugural Big Bear MX Grand Prix opened registration and promptly sold out its 700-entry cap in less than 48 hours. That wasn’t a fluke — it was a signal. Riders knew what this event was going to be before it even happened, and they moved fast. The 2026 edition will be no different. If you’re planning to race August 19–23 at Bear Mountain Resort, this is the registration guide you need.

This isn’t a standard flat motocross race. The course runs the bottom section of Bear Mountain — ski runs, fire roads, singletrack, and the “Fout’s Forest” section that humbled plenty of MX-only riders in 2025. Long uphill drags, off-camber switchbacks, log drops. Cycle News described it as “more like a hare scramble format.” Motocrossers got a crash course in off-road racing. Off-road riders were in heaven. Either way — prepare accordingly.
8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily across five days. 45-minute race formats. 17 classes from 5 years old to 60+, beginner through pro. Spectator viewing from the resort patio deck with full sightlines across the course.
