Big Bear MX Grand Prix 2025: Racer Signups & Fees

Get ready to hit the track! The Big Bear MX Grand Prix by O’NEAL is August 21–24, 2025, and this is your complete guide for racers. From registration and fees to race classes and schedule, here’s everything you need to know to get signed up and ready to ride.

Registration: How to Sign Up

  • Pre-Registration Opens: August 1, 2025

  • Registration Portal: Online at the Swapmoto Race Series registration page

  • Check-In: Thursday, August 21, 4 PM – 8 PM at the Moonridge Lot (wristbands, parking passes, practice stickers)

Important Notes:

  • Maximum of 700 riders β€” register early to secure your spot.

  • No on-site registration for youth riders under 18; parental waivers required.

  • All vehicles must have a parking pass ($20 for all event days).

  • Trailers, RVs, and campers are not allowed on-site.

Fees & Pricing

  • Race Entry (Per Rider/Class): $150

  • Practice Fee: $50

  • Transponder Rental (MYLAPS): $20

  • Spectator Wristband (All-weekend): $25 ($20 for Sunday-only)

  • Parking Pass (Racer or Spectator): $20

Race Schedule & Classes

Timeline

  • Thursday, Aug 21: Check-in & packet pickup

  • Friday, Aug 22: Practice runs

  • Saturday & Sunday, Aug 23–24: Race days (different classes each day; no overlap)

Classes

  • Youth: 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, Supermini, Girls

  • Adult: 125cc, 250cc, 450cc, Vet 30+ to 60+, Women

  • Pro: 250cc & 450cc

  • Team Races & Vintage Classes also included

Pro Tip: Plan your weekend around your class schedule. Practice on Friday will help you familiarize yourself with jumps, berms, elevation, and technical lines on the unique Bear Mountain layout.

Racer Essentials

  • Helmet & Gloves: DOT/ECE certified and built for long runs

  • Riding Jacket or Vest: Weather-ready and protective

  • Street-Legal Tires: Durable and reliable

  • Bike Tech: Transponders are required. Bring your transponder or rent one; bike maintenance essentials on hand

Pit Area: Each vehicle has a 10’x10’ space behind the truck β€” no extra vehicles or pit bikes allowed.

Track & Venue Highlights

  • Course Layout: 3–4 mile loop blending ski runs, fire roads, jumps, berms, and elevation changes

  • Viewing for Friends: Spectators can watch from The Deck patio with food, drinks, sponsor demos, and merchandise

  • Parking: Racers onsite at Bear Mountain; spectators offsite at Moonridge Lot with free shuttles


Important Update: Racer Registration Status

As of now, racer registration is sold out for the Big Bear MX Grand Prix 2025. However, racers can still purchase a parking pass online for $20 & spectator wristband for $25.

No Pit Vehicles Policy

To maintain a safe and efficient environment, no pit vehicles are allowed at the venue. This includes SXSs, scooters, bicycles (pedal or electric), and pit bikes. Each racer will be allocated a 10’x10’ pit area behind their vehicle, so plan accordingly.
